License plate recognition

There are two main types of Identification Products:
License Plate Recognition for vehicles and Facial Recognition for people. Each type of Identification product consists of two levels of capability – Detection and Recognition. Facial Detection involves the capturing of a face in a crowd. Facial Recognition involves matching that face with a database and identifying the individual.

Similarly Licence Plate Detection involves the finding of the plate in the image and Licence plate Recognition involves matching the image with a database resulting in the identification of the specific vehicle.
The two identification products can work together for instance in a scenario in a car park where the image of the vehicle's plate is captured as is the image of the driver. A match is done to ensure that the person driving the vehicle is its owner.
