Jump to Event enables the user to jump back to a pre-defined time before an event or alarm occurred.
If a simple event-such as an intrusion, then its trivial to
return to 10 seconds before the event and review it.
However if the event was a bag
left in an airport two hours ago then the "Jump to Event"
capability will let the user jump back in time to a short period
before the alarm, and immediately review both the event and the preceding
period of video footage seeing when the bag was first brought
into the scene.
The user then has the option of archiving the event for later review or to discard the alarm information. All the IQ Products incorporate event-based recording, only storing video footage when there is something to record
(continuous recording is available as an option).
Event based recording saves a lot of time and money as the user will not end up with a recording of months and months worth of useless video footage.
For those using megapixel cameras they can do
"Jump to Hawk" which allows them to jump back before the start
of the event AND see the event itself at a high resolution -
enabling identification of individuals and vehicles involved. |
